We weren't sure if we were going to get footage or still images to work with on this music video for the John Wick soundtrack. I played around a bit with some displacement mapping to give the images a 3d slow mo look. We didn't end up going with this direction but I still think the results were pretty interesting.
Roliflex
Last year moved from LA and took a road trip east with my good friend Adam Cope and his grandfathers recently repaired Roliflex. We got some awesome shots that trip and that camera that just got developed. Here are the raw 120 scans.
Peter Loggins - Dancer
I met Peter Loggins when we shot Baby Can Dance in New Orleans. He's a super cool guy with lots of stories of working in Hollywood and all over. If you've ever seen David Lynch's Mulholland Dr., he's the guy doing all the dancing in the opening credits. He lives in jazz legend Jelly Roll Morton's old house and I drew this from a photo I took of him on his stoop when we shot there that day.
